In October of 2017, Lorne retired after working 33-years as a licensed police officer for a first ring St. Paul/Minneapolis metropolitan law enforcement agency. During his tenure, he worked various assignments to include patrol officer, high school liaison officer, patrol sergeant, case coordinator, patrol lieutenant, SWAT operator and commander.
Prior to retirement, Lorne served as the agency's administrative lieutenant. As the agency's administrative lieutenant his assignments include professional standards, data practices, public information officer and training coordinator.
Update: Shortly after retiring, Lorne returned to law enforcement and currently works as a part-time police officer at a large metropolitan airport.
